Just noticed they did some analysis of both Droid (http://www.attensity.com/en/Company/Blog/2009/11/DroidPost.php) and Nexus One (http://www.attensity.com/en/Company/Blog/2010/01/872.php) At a high level, it's pretty much a wash between the two, and overall sentiment is positive for the Android phones: Droid: Extremely Positive: 10% Positive: 53% Neutral: 9% Negative: 26% Extremely Negative: 2% Nexus One: Love it: 6% Like it: 55% Neutral: 7% Dislike it: 29% Hate it: 2% Major positive sentiments about the Nexus One were related to Android and the screen; negative sentiment was related to the applications, the keyboard, and Android. Today is the day Google is rumored to be releasing / making available Nexus One. Here is a comparison of the Nexus One with the iPhone, based on what's known about the Google phone, from www.nexus-one.co.uk: http://tinyurl.com/yhmdbce. My personal perspective? If I cannot use it on the Verizon Wireless network, it's going to a cool device I don't need. I have not seen any survey data on the willingness of people to switch networks to acquire better or more interesting phones (if anyone has any, please share them), but my completely unscientific personal observation is, among people I know, there is no interest in doing that. Market share data show that VW has a slight lead over AT&T: 31.8% vs. 28.9% in the US (source: Wikivest). In any case, release of the Nexus One will only mark the beginning of what may finally be accurately called "the year of the smartphone," with rumors already of three new smartphones from VW coming out in the next few months (http://tinyurl.com/yl9nbkt).
