		<description>This is interesting as eBay is really a company about Reputation (or rather Trust) online.  It&#039;s not just the network effects that makes eBay so powerful but crucially it is the Trust infrastructure that allows complete strangers to transact across the Internet on such large-scale as eBay.

It is interesting that eBay is looking at importing relationship information to strengthen their model... while lots of others are hoping eBay would open up and *export* their member ratings for building trust in many/any other social type of social applications...</description>
